Hi,
Its been ages since I have had the time to write anything for my blog, with work, looking after my guests in the barn and finishing the Scott Trial Programme. I would like to thank all those who have made a big effort to put pen to paper especially the three riders who are competing this year for the first time our son Thomas Tennant, Will Reynolds and the worlds no one youth champion Jonathon Richardson. I hope the weather is kind to you all. I am just now waiting for the programme to come back from the printers, then I will be running around like a looney taking them to the local shops shops and posting them out to all the advertisers etc. The day of the Scott arrives on 24th October and my job on the day is selling 2000 programmes from 7.30 in the morning, I will then hopefully later on in the afternoon see my son riding up the finishing line in one piece.
Low Barn this year has been a great first year, I have had lots of interesting people stay from near and far and all walks of life. There have been lots of fantastic comments made in the visitors book, it is my aim to make Low Barn a home from home with a bit of luxury thrown in to make the stay a memorable one. Thanks again to all the visitors from this year and I look forward to meeting the ones in the future.
We have been working hard outside at the barn having boundry walls rebuilt, staining the fencing and planting bulbs to enhance the surrondings, but the work as you all know with any property is on going. Especially when my new editions being 5 Black Buff Orpington hens and 4 Indian Runner Ducks who manage to escape from their pen and go looking for the plants I have just planted, but i suppose that's all part of having livestock.
I will try and ensure to update my blog on a monthly basis, I look forward to any comments or ideas.

Comedy of Errors
After a visit to a new fantastic french resteraunt in Richmond called La Rustique, I called in at my local pub on the way home. After chatting to the land lady one of our neighbours came over and enquired as to how business was in the barn. They told me that they had been to see a Comedy of Errors at the Georgian Theatre Royal recently and said what a fantastic performance it was. The next day they were out in their garden and where amazed to hear voices practising their lines and their singing, they looked over the walk and staying at the barn were three of the actors they had seen the night before, it made their day to see such talented actors staying so close to their door step.
Hopefully in the future we may have some more talent to watch out for.
Let me have your thoughts if you went to see the same play.

Scott Trial 2009
I know I am deviating from Low Barn but between work and running low Barn I am for my sins the editor for the Scott Trial programme. I have been involved in doing the programme for eight years now and have just started finding advertisers, sponsors, article writers etc for this years programme. So if any of you bloggers who come across my blog have any ideas for this years programme please let me know.

My first blog
The realms of new technology has now been thrown in my hands in the form of blogging. I am not sure what I should be writing or how it will appear so here goes, I have been informed that it will enhance my website for the luxury self catered accomodation I run.
